Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College & General Hospital is located at Ambegaon, Narhe, Pune. It is founded by President Prof. M. N. Navale and named after the mother of Prof. M. N. Navale. In a very little course of time, this institution has achieved its reputation for academic performance & patient services, not only in Pune but all over Maharashtra.
Hospital was started in 2006 with just 300 beds & expanded to 1094 bedded hospital currently with 840 teaching beds, 80 ICU beds,40 Casualty beds, 20 beds for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery,64 Day Care beds, 2 Pain Clinic and 48 Recovery beds in O.T. The medical college is started with intake of 100 students for MBBS course in September 2007. The intake capacity now has been increased to 150 students. Our MBBS degree is recognized by Medical Council of India and also by Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of India –New Delhi. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik.
We also conduct Post Graduate courses in the Subjects of Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Anesthesia, Radiology, Dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine, General Medicine and Pediatrics. The hospital is spread over four buildings. The OPD blocks situated on the ground floor and respective wards are located from the first floor and above. We are providing all the facilities of the hospital in addition to two square meals to indoor.
Every year there has been steady increase in the no. of patients availing the OPD and IPD facility. In the year 2016 we have examined 570592 patients in OPD and 38806 Patients were hospitalized with average daily bed occupancy of 84%. With increasing patient number, all the departments have updated with infrastructure to give better care to sick and needy.

PRE-CLINICAL DEPARTMENTS
The Preclinical departments of Anatomy , Physiology & Biochemistry continue their task of medical education to Ist MBBS students with the help of well equipped infrastructure already available. The newly admitted students undergo ‘Orientation Programme’ in which they are counseled and guided on the basis of being good medical students and good doctors with holistic approach. They are given a guided tour of college and hospital to familiarize them with the campus. The curriculum is implemented & updated as per the guidelines of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik and Medical Council of India, New Delhi, regularly.
PARA CLINICAL DEPARTMENTS
The Para clinical departments have played the role of strong pillars for clinical departments, supporting and assisting them in patient care. These departments have sophisticated laboratories equipped with all recent advancements required for research and diagnosis. They have dedicated teachers for teaching MBBS, B.Sc. Nursing and B.D.S students and have well furnished spacious halls to undertake undergraduate teaching.

Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College and General Hospital is run by Sinhgad Technical Education Society which was formed in the year 1993 and runs about 90 Teaching Institutions starting from junior most school/ playgroup to highest post graduate colleges in various professional fields. The medical college and general hospital which is named after reverend mother of Prof. M.N. Navale, the founder president of STES was started in the year 2007.
From the humble beginning of 300 beds & expanded to 1094 bedded hospital currently with 840 teaching beds, 80 ICU beds, 40 Casualty beds (including 5 OBGY Casualty beds), 20 beds for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, 64 Day Care beds, 2 Pain Clinic and 48 Recovery beds in O.T. We have added 3 Haemodialysis machines and an R.O. plant for dialyzing the patients of Acute/ Chronic Renal failure. All the facilities of hospital including Registration, Accommodation, Investigations, Medicines, Surgical Procedures and all type of consultation available at the hospital are provided to the patients, who are also provided with two wholesome meals everyday of stay in the hospital.
The spacious parking area has become less for the number of vehicles parked and we will have to assign some more additional area for parking purpose.
There has been Inspection of Pre and Para clinical and clinical departments by the appropriate authority for purpose of granting permission to start post graduate studies in various disciplines of pre and Para clinical subjects. There has also been increase in Teaching and Non-teaching staff, Equipment commensurate with increase in number of patients both OPD and IPD.
