Jawaharlal Darda Institute of Engineering and Technology (JDIET) was established in 1996 by Shri Jawaharlal Darda Education Society, Yavatmal under the leadership of Dr. Vijay Darda, Founder President of JDES, Chairman, Lokmat Media Group and Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha (1998-2016). The institute is named after Late Jawaharlal Darda alias “Babuji”, who was a great freedom fighter, statesman and editor.

JDIET is a Hindi linguistic minority, self-finance private Autonomous Institute and affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. The courses run by the Institute are approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra.

JDIET is currently accredited with A+ by NAAC and in past, six courses were also accredited by NBA for 2009 to 2012. Institute is certified with ISO 21001:2018 and 9001:2015. The campus comprises of 2.95 lakh sq. ft. building spread in 17.29 acres of land. Best facilities are provided for academics and overall development of students.

The scheme has been launched by Government of Maharashtra to benefit girl students in Maharashtra by providing a tuition and exam fee waiver to those with an annual family income below 8 lakhs.

The agenda is to increase the proportion of girls in professional education, ensuring they have equal opportunities for education. Under the initiative of women empowerment, the scheme aims to prevent girls from being deprived of professional courses due to a lack of financial support.

The training and placement cell of JDIET is committed to provide the job opportunity the aspiring students in top organizations of international and national repute. In order to enhance the employability of the JDIET students, this cell offers the specialized trainings through the professional training agencies on a continual basis. The focus of training is on technical, aptitude, soft skills Viz. Communication skills, group discussion, interview skills, formal writing skills, etc. These trainings empower the students with required skill sets which are needed for the selection in campus interview process. In every academic session the reputed multinational and national industries conducts the campus recruitment process at JDIET. Training and placement cell of JDIET also facilitates industry-academia interface by signing the various Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with the various industries. The JDIET engagement with the industries through MOU’s facilitates the students to undertake industrial trainings, internship, industry based projects and in their job placements.

Aim:

Training and placement cell of JDIET aims to provide 100% job placement to the aspiring students by using their technical acumen and personality traits. Also aims to enhance the employability of students by providing them a specialized trainings through professional training agencies.

Objectives:

To explore corporate and industrial sector for providing the placement opportunities to the JDIET students through the campus recruitment program.
To arrange various professional training programs for JDIET students in order to make them ready for placement.
Provide industrial internship opportunities to the JDIET students.
To make the JDIET students aware about higher studies and guiding them for competitive exams.
