Ala-Too International University (AUI) is one of the leading international universities in Central Asia, founded in 1996. The founder of AUI is the International Educational Institution “Sapat”. AUI is a legal entity, a private institution operating in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In 2013, MUA opened the IT & Business College, then the Distance Learning Center (DLC), Master's and PhD programs, which expanded the prospects for new growth and development of the university. Today, MUA has 4 academic faculties, 19 undergraduate programs, 2 DLC bachelor's programs, 2 DLC master's programs, 10 master's programs, 6 postgraduate programs, 3 PhD programs and 3 Institutes.

The main language is English. Students of individual faculties can choose a second foreign language – Japanese, German, Chinese or French. Preparatory courses are provided for those who do not speak English.
MUA closely cooperates with universities in North America, South Korea, Germany, Poland and France within the framework of the double degree program. By participating, students receive such advantages as immersion in a new cultural and educational environment, two degrees for the same period of study, as well as competitiveness in the labor market when applying for a job both in the country and abroad. Since MUA teaches in English, the university prepares its students to study at English-language universities from all over the world. It is important to note that such an opportunity is provided in certain faculties upon high academic performance during the 1st and 2nd years. The Academic Council is a public and professional governing body of a higher education institution. The decisions of the Academic Council on matters of selection, placement, dismissal of personnel, financial and economic activities are advisory in nature.
The Academic Council is formed from the following members:
— (chairman of the council), vice-rectors, academic secretary, head of the educational inspection department, directors of institutes, centers, deans of faculties, heads of specialized departments, heads of other scientific and pedagogical divisions, trade union and student public organizations (this contingent should not exceed 50% of the total number of members of the Academic Council);
— representatives of institutes, faculties and other educational and scientific structural divisions from among leading scientists, professors and associate professors elected in the established manner by the Academic Councils of the relevant structures.
The Academic Council may include heads of scientific and research institutions, leading scientists, figures in the arts and culture in the field of training specialists who do not work at the MUA.
Admission for MBBS applications occurs via the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education portal; documents are submitted through university’s online system.
Key documents include passport, Class 12 certificate & transcript, NEET scorecard, passport-size photos, and notarized translations (in Russian).
Upon receiving an invitation letter, students pay part of the tuition fee and apply for a student visa/e-visa.
